About the Event
Calling all young makers, architects, and creators! The Museum of Makers + Innovators (MOMI) is thrilled to join the third annual STEAM Around the Square for an unforgettable day of maker fun.
Step inside the beautiful Atrium of The Newark Museum of Art to find the MOMI team for an afternoon of hands-on, imagination-fueled play. We’re bringing two ultimate maker activations where kids can dream big and build even bigger:
The Ultimate Fort-Building Zone: Step into our engineering arena! Kids can use giant blocks, fabrics, and structural tools to design, test, and build their very own dream forts and secret hideaways.
The Community Weaving Wall: Unleash your inner artist and master crafter. Children will learn the basics of weaving, contributing to a giant, colorful community tapestry while exploring patterns, textures, and design.
